NEP Jamboree 2017
The 2017-18 season kicked off this year at a new jamboree event hosted by the North East Passage youth wildcats and including the Boston Shamrocks. The Rangers divided the team in half to create a four team mini-game tournament and then combined for a Rangers vs all showdown.
After a few months of Saturday night practices, the team was fired up and dominated the mini games. They were relentless in chasing down pucks but also selfless in their team play. A few firsts were had; Ryan Picarillo scored his first with a nasty breakaway and a dangle move and Sebs got the team's first hat trick during the full ice scrimmage with a nifty assist from Ailin and some hard forechecking. In the end, Justin's team won the mini-game series 3-0 with great team play from Spencer, Jesse, Michael, Sebs, and Sam. They beat the other Ranger team led by goalie Josh, and capt. Matty, Ailin, Max and Ryan in a spirited and physical game that really showcased all our players skills and team work. While not an official game, the Rangers proved that they were a serious team to be reckoned with
