On Friday March 9 the Canadian Association of New York hosted its signature event, the Maple Leaf Ball, at the Time Warner Center in New York City. The CANY has been (and continue to be) very generous supporters of the WSF New York Sled Rangers. This year was no exception. With about 300 people in attendance, and Gordon Lightfoot crooning a song, the CANY showed off our program to a roomful of hockey lovers. This is a great event, and I am so proud and humbled to be a part of it. The CANY's other organizations are also very worthy -- Ice Hockey in Harlem, Terry Fox Run for Cancer Research, and Canada's National Ballet School. Thank you especially goes to my good friend Dean Keyworth for his tireless work in putting on this event, and for being our friend.
